Idaho Bill Wants to Include All Convicted Felons in DNA Database

Idaho is the only state in the United States that does not collect and catalog DNA samples from all convicted felons in the state's DNA database.  Currently, Idaho's DNA collection program only includes samples from sexual or violent offenders. This new bill would expand collection to include all convicted felons. The measure was just passed by the House Judiciary Rules and Administration Committee and the Senate. Now, the bill has been forwarded on to the full Idaho House for debate.
