Son's DNA Used as Evidence Against Father
Wednesday, March 17, 2010
DNA taken from the son of a man accused of murdering a college student and raping two other women may be used as evidence to link the suspect to the crimes. Washoe District Judge Robert Perry denied a motion by defense lawyers for James Biela to suppress this forensic evidence. Biela is charged with the murder of 19-year-old Brianna Denison, who was abducted while sleeping on a friend's couch in January 2008 near the University of Nevada, Reno campus. Her body was discovered three weeks later.
