Massachusetts Wants To Expand DNA Database

In Springfield, Massachusetts local county officials from Hampden County are pushing lawmakers to expand the DNA Database system to include everyone's DNA convicted of any crime, not only the ones convicted of a felony. This is supported by the Massachusetts District Attorney's Association and Attorney General Martha Coakley.  Hampden County District Attorney, William Bennett says, "Since the inception of the codis system there have been approximately 1,817 cases that have been solved through the codis system."
