New York to collect "All Crime-DNA" in August 2012

In August, 2012, New York State law enforcement will start collecting DNA samples from everyone convicted of a felony or penal misdemeanor. The "all-crimes DNA" law will roughly double the collections that are made with saliva swabs currently taken from all felons and people convicted of 36 misdemeanors.
